ICONaPIX goes Gothic Lolita

Gothic Lolita is one of Japan's many popular street fashions that is growing in popularity in the Western world today. The style often is meant to make the wearer look doll-like, sweet and/or elegant.

Gothic Lolita is not necessarily related to what you think of as "Goth".
The fashion and the lifestyle do not contain sexual connotations. Followers of the fashion do not consider it to be a sexual style. Instead, adherents present themselves as young Victorian girls and consider it necessary to look "cute," "beautiful," or "elegant" rather than "sexy."

ICONaPIX was excited to be contacted by Saichyea, a model from East Toronto contacted ICONaPIX to create some seductive photos. The first theme was a bedroom seduction scene in a sexy robe enticing the observer. The second theme was a red bra / white dress shirt theme.

ICONaPIX and Earth Hour

Photography is all about lighting, hence its name. "Photo" meaning "light". The unfortunate side effect is light = energy, energy = power, power = usage of fuel, usage of fuel = polution.

Although our studios use energy saving bulbs, our studio lighting equipment doesn't. Studio lighting requires hot lamps, strobes etc using up valuable resources. So when Earth Hour was first brought to Canada, ICONaPIX jumped at the idea of supporting this amazing history making event.

Help reduce your carbon footprint, help reduce the smog in Toronto, help make the world a cleaner place. Join us on March 28th by simply switching off all non-essential electrical appliances, such as lights, TV, computers and monitors etc for 1 hour, just 60 minutes and be part of Earth Hour. Put off doing that load of washing till Sunday, put off running the dishwasher until Sunday.. You know you want to!!

Turn off non-essential lights on March 28 from 8:30 to 9:30 pm.
Challenge your family, friends, neighbours and social networks to take part in Earth Hour.
Look for ways to change your habits in the long term.
Most of all, be safe - especially around naked candles!

ICONaPIX meets Brittany for Glamour Fun

Brittany Li, a model from Toronto contacted ICONaPIX to create some saucy photos. The idea was to grow from a schoolgirl style shoot all the way to a mistress / temptress. The shoot was a success and the photos show the story. The shoot also had an anime underlying theme.

ICONaPIX was contacted by Leah and Raj to do a very special kind of shoot. A location was set, Raj was on a plane from California and the scene was set. Leah and Raj both wanted to act our an Escort scene. Using the Pantages Hotel and Spa in downtown Toronto was perfect.

ICONaPIX Elora Gorge Trip
